Presentation

The Industrial Property area has the purpose of providing technical support to the research professors of the University Units of the UAM, to request the protection of their developments and inventions, be it through patents, utility models, industrial designs or trademarks, and to prepare the necessary documents to present the corresponding applications.

Our objectives are:

1. Support capacity building in industrial property management.

2. Formulate recommendations for the protection of knowledge developed by professors-researchers or students of the University.

3. Prepare the industrial property requests generated by the university community and manage them before the competent authorities.

4. Strengthen the culture of intellectual property among the academic and student community.

Our allies in the fulfillment of these objectives are the Liaison Coordinations of the five University Units of the UAM.
