ABOUT US

The Innovation Department has the purpose of articulating opportunities that allow promoting the research projects of the academic staff, for the achievement of innovative projects of connection with social, business and public sector organizations, through the technical advice of the academic staff of the University, as well as the promotion of their capacities; support the commercialization of technology, with the purpose of supporting the productivity, innovation and competitiveness of companies, sectors and regions of the country, as well as supporting students of the Institution in the development of their entrepreneurial skills and abilities. Likewise, promote the implementation of continuing education and virtual education projects in order to strengthen the substantive functions of the University.

OUR FUNCTIONS


Collaborate, through the design of inter-organizational participation schemes, in the creation of an innovation ecosystem in which the University contributes to the solution of problems of national and international relevance.

Promote the creation of technology-based companies and the development of entrepreneurial activities by students and academic staff of the University.

Support the commercialization of the technologies developed and patents of the University with companies from the public, social and private sectors.

Advise and train the academic and administrative staff of the University Units in their processes and projects of technology transfer to the productive sectors.

Formulate and disseminate recommendations related to industrial property and, where appropriate, support in the preparation of contents of the respective solutions; as well as in the procedures before the competent authorities.

Provide technical opinion in the negotiation processes of technology development and transfer contracts, as well as the license or sale of patents.

Identify strengths of the University in order to participate in social bonding actions.

Our allies in the fulfillment of these objectives are the Liaison Coordinations of the five University Units of the UAM.
