The social commitment of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) is oriented towards the training of professionals and researchers of excellence, the generation and dissemination of knowledge for a better understanding and solution of contemporary problems, and contributing to national development. One of the axes that articulates this commitment to the work of the university community is found in the rapprochement, participation and close and active collaboration with our environment. To achieve this, our institution is linked to public and private organizations that demand solutions to their social needs.

About us

The General Coordination for Academic Strengthening and Liaison (CGFAyV) is the university instance in charge of establishing the liaison and cooperation mechanisms between the UAM and the educational, productive and social sectors, including higher education institutions and centers, private companies, public organizations and civil organizations that contribute to solving national problems.
